Young and innovative, with entrepreneurial mindset, Mr. Shadi Hagag strives to put forth whatever influence he can over future events. He acts according to his own perception of what actions will result in success, endeavours to tackle problems immediately with confidence and is persistent in his pursuit of set objectives. He is at his best in the face of adversity. Achievement-oriented, he is tireless in the pursuit of his goals in delivering the most effective solution. He is farsighted and aware of important details, and he will continuously review all possibilities to achieve the most effective solution for Trans-Plan clients. At the same time, he devotes his energy to completing the tasks immediately before him. He changes direction when he sees that change will improve the prospects for achieving goals. He is not troubled by ambiguity and uncertainty because he is used to solving problems. "I want to be where the action is," he says.
Shadi Hagag is the President/Chief Executive Officer of Trans-Plan Inc. As such, he is responsible for the company's vision, strategic direction, and operational management. He is instrumental in driving the company's strategy as it expands its role in the evolving enterprise network in transportation engineering.
Shadi studied Civil Engineering at Carleton University, Ottawa Ontario and Transportation Engineering Technology at Mohawk College, Hamilton Ontario; and Bachelor of Psychology from Port Said University, Egypt. Prior to conceiving TRANS-PLAN Shadi worked for years at TRANS-PLAN conducting traffic impact studies "TIS", traffic operations studies, traffic management plans, parking studies, report completion, and injecting new energy into the company.
His resume includes planning and design of site circulation and parking systems in some of the most challenging of circumstances. His professional experiences also include financial analysis, site evaluation, and parking facility development at the municipal level. His knowledge also extends to the operation of on-street parking and the implementation of amalgamated rate programs, long-stay parking programs, and enforcement procedures.
Shadi has gained the respect of his peers and clients with his thorough and professional approach. His skills in the practical application of sophisticated traffic operations analysis software, including Synchro Studio and HCS 2000 have ensured his success working on many Traffic Impact Study projects.
Shadi is a member of internationally, nationally and locally recognized organizations and a strong advocate of Engineers Without Borders and he is a member of the institute of Transportation Engineers, Professional Engineers of Ontario, Ontario Association of Certified Engineers and Technologies, and American Society of Civil Engineers, and has attended conferences with the Canadian Urban Institute. Since taking over the direction of TRANS-PLAN in 2008, Shadi has been working extensively on new contracts in the grater Toronto area and actively working on new and creative directions for the company to enhance the quality and range of services offered by TRANS-PLAN
